Motor City Mowing provides 100% electric lawn care service year round. We focus only on small residential properties so you know your home is getting the attention you deserve. Motor City Mowing is fully licensed and insured.
Mowing

Mowing service includes trimming around the base of all structures and fences, edging walkways and driveway, and cleanup with a blower.
Snow Removal
$35
Snow removal includes clearing snow from walkways, driveways, and porches. Service also includes salting. We’ll even clear off your car for you!
Fall Clean-Up
$75
Fall clean-up includes mulching and bagging of leaves on your property and removal of fallen tree limbs. We can place material at the curb for city pick up or haul away for you. We’ll provide a final close cut mow and lawn aeration to prepare your grass for winter.
Who we are
Dan Moranville started mowing neighbors’ lawns as an entrepreneurial 10-year-old in Dearborn Heights in 2001.
Dan relaunched his lawn care business as Motor City Mowing in 2024. He is committed to using 100% electric equipment and serves his neighbors in the Grosse Pointe communities, Harper Woods, Eastpointe, St. Clair Shores, Roseville, and Detroit.
Dan operates multiple small businesses, one of which earned a spot in Yelp’s Top 100 Small Businesses in the United States in 2024.
Dan’s wife Aimee manages the home office, and their son Andrew helps with flyers and morale.
